Everyone uses picture frames to store some of their favorite moments such as their weddings or holidays or even capturing a great moment with a family photo. This frame really shows what makes sterling silver great. This frame may look traditional at first but I find it to be quite sophisticated. The frame has a fine blue velvet back and has a very narrow border. This frame can also be ordered with custom engraving.

A Tizo Sterling Silver Elegant Wood Trim Frame is also a great frame that can be ordered with engraving. Unlike the other two frames this one includes wood as well as sterling silver. The border of the frame is split in two sections. The outer section is made with a dark natural wood border and the inner border is made up of fine sterling silver. The silver, not the wood, is what is engraved on. This frame would make a perfect gift. This picture frame was hand crafted in Italy and the attention to detail really shows.

This way you can hang it either vertically or horizontally depending on your situation and artwork.

Last is the Economy Metal 12x18 Picture Frame. The biggest selling point of this frame is the price. They appear to be extremely high quality for the price. The base price on the website shows that it will cost extra for acrylic and backing though. This could work out great for you if you already have these things. As you would expect, this frame is made out of metal but it is also black. The black is extremely shiny and, if you keep it in good shape, really looks sharp. I imagine you will need to keep it clean to keep it this way. If anything can quickly ruin the way a shiny object looks quickly, its fingerprints.

It can be very challenging trying to decide what kind of 5” x 5” picture frame you want to buy for your photographs. After all, the right frame can draw attention to a photo as well as enhance its natural beauty, on the other hand a bad frame can take away from the photo or make it seem almost invisible on your desk or wall. This frame would make an excellent gift because it comes preboxed so all you have to do is wrap it. I think it would also look nice displaying a wedding picture.

Amazon also carries a Essential Metal Picture Frame in a the 5x5 dimension. This is a very modern minimalistic metal frame. I think it would look great holding a black and white photograph but may also help brighter reds and blues pop out in a image. The frame is made out of metal, and while it isn't silver plated, it has a silver finish. They also advertise that the frame is engravable but it doesn't come with any kind of engraving right out of the box.

For 5x5 photos you can also fit them in much bigger frames. I have seen 10x10 frames that were specifically made for photos this small. They have a very big mat. These frames also include a hanging accessories as well as an easel to hang them on. Most also include a very nice acid free mat. I find the mat looks best in white, especially if you are going with a metal frame. Bigger frames usually use Plexiglas as opposed to glass. This allows the frame to be lighter as well as more durable.

A major annoyance of both professional photographers and casual photographers alike, is picking out the right silver plated picture frame for their photographs. You cannot simply just put these great captured moments in any frame, you have to find the perfect frame for each picture. It shouldn't be your goal to find a picture frame to display your photographs you want great picture frames that enhance your photographs.

In order to enhance your photographs you need to both draw attention to the image and play off of its natural beauty. It really has to match the frame you put it in. There are many different picture frames available. As you probably know, there are millions of different sizes, themes, colors, and styles. They can come in modern, elegant, baroque, rustic, antique, minimalistic and thousands of other potential styles. And then each of these styles can be made out of many different materials. Popular ones seem to be wood, plastic, ceramic, and of course silver plated metal.

What I am really passionate about though, is silver plated picture frames. I see very few pictures that don't look great in them (paintings on the other hand need a lot more thought put into the process of picking their frame). These look especially great with black and white photos.

These frames also have a nice looking cream colored mat.

Most of the collection has a beaded edge but there are also Thin Rimmed Silver Plated Frames. Rather than having the rounded over beaded edge they have the far more modern look of a thin flat edge. These are still made of a nice looking silver plating and the polishing looks great. I find them to be far more elegant than the rest of the already elegant collection of silver plated frames.
